SUTHERLAND ADVANCES TO 3A FINAL WITH VICTORY OVER WINDSOR

The Sutherland Sabres once again were ready to play from the opening tip, the Sabres scored the first ten points of the game and never trailed in the game before, winning 61-42.  Sutherland extended their lead to 16-4 before Windsor finished with a flurry and closed the gap to 16-10 at the end of the first quarter.   That may have been as close as Windsor would get as Sutherland took a 37-24 lead to the locker room at halftime and never looked back from there.

Windsor made some adjustments at halftime in an attempt to slow down Sutherland's Graddy Zubaidi but there was no stopping Zubaidi on this night as he finished with 30 points and was selected the Player of the Game. "I feel like we are still getting better'" said Sutherland coach Brad Thornhill after the game, "but at the same time, i feel like we still have not put together 40 minutes, and that needs to be our focus for the rest of the week."
